Certification purchased within the one-year certification eligibility window following completion of the 32-hour Pre- and Perinatal Massage Therapy workshop, but outside the seven (7) day workshop completion window, the price is $250.
Professional Eligibility: Certification is only available to massage therapists who are licensed, certified, registered, or otherwise legally authorized to practice massage therapy in their state, province, or country.
Certification Eligibility: Eligibility for certification begins upon successful completion of the 32-hour Pre- and Perinatal Massage Therapy workshop, and certification must be completed within one (1) year of workshop completion.
Examination: Complete a multiple choice online exam to demonstrate your evidence-based pre- and perinatal massage therapy practice knowledge with a minimum 80% passing score.
Technique List & Video with Instructor Evaluation & Feedback: Submit a technique list and a 20-30 minute video of a portion of a pre- or perinatal massage therapy session demonstrating the following from the Pre-and Perinatal Massage Therapy workshop:
The list of at least fourteen (14) techniques that you demonstrate sequentially in your video.
Safe client positioning, including one position change (e.g.. right to left sidelying position, semi-reclined position to left sidelying position, etc.).
Professional draping.
Healthy therapist body mechanics.
Receive written evaluation of your demonstrated proficiencies plus refinement feedback by an authorized Pre- and Perinatal Massage Therapy workshop instructor and satisfactorily complete with a minimum 80% passing score. One additional submission opportunity is available if this score is not met.
Certification Awarded: Upon successful completion of all certification requirements, you will be awarded the Pre- and Perinatal Massage Therapy Certification. You will receive a frameable certificate and be added to the online directory of Certified Pre- and Perinatal Massage Therapists.
