Learning at East-West College of the Healing Arts places you in a professional massage therapy education environment in the heart of downtown Portland. The campus is located within Portland’s Education District, offering close proximity to public transportation, restaurants, and downtown amenities that support focused study as well as time beyond the classroom.
Portland is often called the “City of Roses” and offers a blend of urban spaces, cultural attractions, and expansive green areas.
The city is home to numerous parks and gardens, including the International Rose Test Garden, the Portland Japanese Garden, and the Hoyt Arboretum.
A diverse food scene — from food carts to local breweries — and a strong arts presence add to the city’s character, creating a setting that encourages exploration and inspiration.
East-West College of the Healing Arts campus is accessible from Portland International Airport by car or public transportation. Travel time from the airport to downtown is approximately 30–45 minutes.
Portland’s public transit system, TriMet, includes bus routes and light rail service throughout the metro area. The MAX Red Line departs directly from the airport terminal near baggage claim and reaches downtown Portland in approximately 38–40 minutes.
When registering for the workshop, participants are encouraged to inquire about discounted lodging at Hotel Zags, located in downtown Portland directly across the street from the East-West College campus.
The hotel is within walking distance of nearby restaurants, cafés, shops, and cultural destinations, offering a central and practical place to stay during the workshop.
